The 120,000 army of General Józef Haller took part in the fights for the independence of Poland in 1920. Its ranks included Poles living in the following countries:

United States of America

France (among the Polish community, also French officers)

Hungary (material aid, they wanted to send 30,000 soldiers)

Italy (Poles from Italy were transferred to the Blue Haller's Army in France as prisoners)

Brazil

Bulgaria (material assistance)

Ukraine

Japan (providing support, also sheltering about 720 Polish orphans of Siberian families)
