On July 8, a meeting of the Wołomin County Council took place. One of the items on the agenda is the draft Resolution on the takeover by the Wołomin County in 2020 of the maintenance of the Cemetery of the Fallen in the Battle of Warsaw 1920 in Ossów. In recent weeks, Adam Lubiak - Starosta Wołomiński conducted a series of talks and consultations with institutions, including Institute of National Remembrance and the Mazovian Voivode. The result of the talks is the submitted draft resolution, which will allow the County Office to obtain up to PLN 100,000. PLN to carry out revitalization works, among others modernization of the wall around the cemetery. At the same time, we have an assurance from the Institute of National Remembrance that the graves and the obelisk in the cemetery will be subjected to conservation works from the Institute's funds. The works will be completed before the anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw in 1920.
