ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ continues its holiday tour of Mazovia
Ossow in the Wołomin district is the next stop of the ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ tour in Mazovia. The bureau's modern and multimedia project "Niepodległa" will stop in Ossów from August 12 to 15 this year. The location is not accidental, it is at this time that the celebrations of the 103rd anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw will take place. Residents and tourists will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibition, which allows them to learn facts and stories of outstanding Polish women and men, whose common feature was the desire to change the world and turn potential into action.
The grand opening of the ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ will begin with a press conference on August 12 at 12:00 on the Square in front of the Museum of the Battle of Warsaw in Ossow, Matarewicza Street. Participation in the briefing has been announced by Adam Lubiak, Starost of Wolomin and Karol Gajewski, Deputy Director of the "Niepodległa" Office.
ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ is a mobile educational show of the "Niepodległa" Bureau popularizing the profiles of the fathers of independence, athletes, travelers, people of culture, scientists or social activists. It is a part of history, without which it is difficult to imagine today's Poland, a story about the potential of our community. Visiting the exhibition, one can also learn about the history of Poles connected with Mazovia, among others. Henryk Arctowski, geographer, geophysicist, the most famous Polish explorer of the polar regions, like few other travelers and scientists in the world contributed to the knowledge of Antarctica, Stefan Kudelski, electronics engineer and creator of a series of professional tape recorders used by radio reporters, television and film studios around the world, Kazimierz Funk, creator of the science of vitamins, or Irena Sendler, who saved 2,500 Jewish children during World War II - stresses Wojciech Kirejczyk, director of the "Niepodległa" Office.
The innovative approach to the presentation of Polish history is housed in a modern trailer that travels the country, visiting dozens of larger and smaller cities and towns. The mobile performance is an example of the use of modern technologies in the area of memory, thanks to which the history of Poland and the values most important to Poles can be presented in an interesting and attractive way for different groups of viewers, including the youngest, encouraging them to deepen their knowledge in this area. The project combines the best experience and knowledge of the "Independent" and everyone, regardless of age, interests or place of residence, can become a spark of independence and create a new history of our country - adds Wojciech Kirejczyk.
ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ project was created thanks to the cooperation of the "Independence" Office and Polish producers from various industries. While working out the formula for the mobile performance, modern tools were designed (including a mobile transparent screen), which combine functionality with attractive space design. The narrator leading the audience through the story of Polish achievements is a digital entity, and some of the graphics were created with the help of artificial intelligence. The multimedia show is accompanied by a selection of several valuable material exhibits, obtained courtesy of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, the Polish Olympic Committee, the Polish Ski Association, PIAP Space sp. z o.o., the Łukasiewicz Research Network - Łódź Institute of Technology and the Craft Museum in Krosno. Visitors could see up close the most important Polish military and civilian decorations, namely the Order of the White Eagle and the Virtuti Militari War Order, as well as a bulletproof vest designed by J. Szczepanik. Those interested in sports achievements will be eager to watch the Nations Cup won by Polish ski jumpers in the 2016/17 season. Ultimately, in 2023, the multimedia show will be seen by residents of about 100 towns in all provinces. ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ app with augmented reality
The experience of visiting the exhibition trailer is supported by an augmented reality app. ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ App features more than 100 biographies of prominent Poles who changed the world - from the fathers of independence to modern athletes and explorers. However, the most fun, both young and old, can be had with the AR effects. Through the characters' animated attributes (e.g., running dinosaurs, a flying fighter jet, an igloo), they invite you to explore 10 unique characters. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play and AppStore.
To take advantage of the Augmented Reality effect, one must be at the ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ trailer or have a specially prepared ticket. Those waiting to enter the trailers, after downloading the app to their phone and firing it up, should point the camera at the side wall of the veneer and wait for the AR effects to trigger. Elevator, Audiodescription and Polish Sign Language translation
ISKRY NIEPODLEGŁEJ has facilities for people with disabilities. Visitors are always supervised during the shows by animators, who also provide the necessary assistance. For those with mobility problems, there is an elevator that connects the sidewalk level with the interior of the trailer.
For people with visual impairments, we have prepared an Audiowalk. A several-minute recording to be listened to before the performance on the YT channel Niepodległa contains information on the visual layer of the presented content. In turn, a Polish Sign Language translation is available for people with hearing disabilities. During the performance in the trailer, turn on the video with the interpreter (the YT Niepodległa channel) on your smartphone so that you can simultaneously follow the images presented and the voiceover spoken. The audiotape and PJM translation were created thanks to the cooperation of the Independence Office with the Barrier Free Culture Foundation.
